Partition Wizard Freeware Download

Partition Wizard is a hard disk partition manager (resizing, copying, creating, deleting, formatting, exploring & hiding partitions).
 
It supports FAT & NTFS partitions, supports RAID & USB drives, changes drive letter, sets active partition, offers partition recovery, has a good Helpfile, and more.


This is an excellent partition manager that offers most requested features. It is very easy to use, and visually shows which partitions are NTFS, which are FAT, etc.


Unfortunately it does not display non-Windows partitions (for example, Linux) so you cannot manage those partitions through Partition Wizard.


Apart from the ability to re-size existing partitions (great if you want to add a new partition or drive), we were most impressed with the Wipe Disk function which offers five different types of disk wiping or erasing – everything from a quick "fill sectors with zeros" to an ultra slow (but very secure) 7-pass wipe to US Department of Defense specification DoD 5220.28-STD.

Windows PowerPro Freeware Download

Windows PowerPro is a compact and powerful button-bar program launcher, menuing system, and desktray icon facility, all of which are fully configurable in almost all aspects.


It features alarm timer, multiple button bars, hot keys, window hot spots, scroll windows using middle mouse key, control of Caps Lock/Shift & Scroll Lock, etc, and is skinnable.

This is a superb desktop tool which goes much further than simply being a button-bar program launcher. If there could be any criticism of this program it would be that there was simply so much to see, do and control! The first reaction is one of bewilderment at its scope. However, as you start to use it you find that even though it has nearly 100 dialog windows (most incorporating dozens of control features), there is flyover help on every single control feature of every single dialog box. There is also a printable manual and an excellent Helpfile.


The program's bar can be positioned within the Windows system tray beside the Start button, in a number of predetermined locations (floating button bar, choice of many resolution-independent standard positions, or placed in an active window caption) it can also be made to disappear after a predetermined number of seconds and appear when the mouse cursor is placed in the hot spot.


This highly configurable tool has one outstanding feature – it uses less than 1% of system resources so you can have it load at startup without worrying about the resources it uses. If the bar is hidden you won't even know that it is there – until you need it.


The desktray icon can be configured any way you like – the default is to exit Windows on a left mouse-click, and to hide the desktop with a right mouse-click.


Windows PowerPro is probably the most essential tool which any user can obtain, at any price! Get it now before the author changes his mind.

Hell Fighter 32 Freeware Download

Hell Fighter 32 is a fabulous space combat simulation which reaches new heights for this type of freeware.
Quality like this is normally the domain of the big commercial games publishers but Hell Fighter is right up there with the big boys – without the huge size.

As this is a reasonably new version, it still has some bugs which need ironing out compared to the old DOS version (worth a look too!) which peaked out at version 19 (hence this one starts at 20).
One problem is the lack of Alt-Tab key switch so you can't jump between programs. Still, unless it was to hide it from the boss, we couldn't imagine too many people foregoing the pleasure of playing this terrific game to switch over to another program.


Requiring DirectX 5.x or better, we had no hesitation in recommending this program (bugs and all!) as an absolutely "must have".


A fast action, multiplayer (with single player mode) space combat simulation; features networked Internet play.


This one is so good, imagine what version 21 or 22 will be like!!!
